Ever wondered what it looked like from the saddle in a eventing competition...my daughter and I found this in one of the equestrian programs we recorded from our pay TV.
We have a helmet CAM we bought from overseas and watching this footage makes me want to set it up for my daughter to use while she rides....
We hope to compete in some of the Pony Clubs Jumping and Hunter Trial competitions this year (for experience) with a view to doing more regular and serious competitions next year.
What song gives you the most holiday cheer?

For me there's never just one song, or for that matter any particular artist....songs & music change, you go older your tastes change and grow....but at the moment I find songs from John Mayer's latest album 'Continuum' just seems to do the trick in putting me into that 'chilled' out mood, unfazed by all the shit thats going on in the world....and most importantly brings a smile to my face.....

Well most Sunday was taken up watching & helping my daughter with her first showjumping competition at her local riding school. Her first round was at 9am in the morning, her last at about 4:30pm that afternoon.
Some of the video footage from the day I will be uploading onto YouTube - see Allira Showjumping over the coming weeks.
Upshot of the day though was Allira enjoyed herself and I can say watching your 12 year old daughter competing amounst adults and older teenagers (as she was later in the day) brings a certain level of pride to a gloating dad. Though with her mother and grandparents also there to watch I don't think I was the only one gloating.
There always has to be that first posting...played around with several 'blog services' such as MySpace, Blogger, Windows Live Spaces and Bebo - some just to find out what they're like and how they work, others to see what the 'neighborhood' is like as my 12 year old daughter (and her friends) 'blog' there and 9 times out of 10 they all come to me to help solve their problems (it's always the bane of anyone who works in IT).
So far what I have seen from some of the neighborhood blogs in VOX this service may be slightly more professional than the teeny angst spots that many of the other blog services seem to be.
Anyway, that'll do for now - back to exploring the services of this blog service.
